TS EAMCET-2016 PRELIMINARY KEY ENGINEERING-AGRICULTURE & MEDICAL

A total of 2,46,522 candidates registered for the TS EAMCET-2016
examination. Out of them, 1,44,510 registered for Engineering and 1,02,012 for
Agriculture & Medical streams. In Hyderabad zones a total of 94,402 candidates
registered, out of which 61,637 candidates registered for Engineering and 32,765
candidates registered for Agriculture & Medical.
A total of 26 Regional centres were identified. The examination was
conducted on 15-05-2016 from 10.00AM to 1.00PM for Engineering (E) stream
and from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM for Agriculture & Medical (AM) stream.
The Set Code ‘Q’ was selected for Engineering (E) by Sri Kadiyam Srihari,
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education.
The Set Code ‘S’ was selected for Agriculture & Medical (AM) stream by Sri
Charlakola Laxma Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical.

The total number of Test Centres in various regions were 470 out of which
276 for Engineering and 190 + 4 Online Centres (3 at Hyderabad & 1 at
Warangal) for Agriculture & Medical. The test Centres have been identified in
State and Central Government Institutions / organizations.
In few test centres, it has been noticed that some candidates have
approached the test centre with the old hall ticket dated 2nd May 2016. However,
the Chief Superintendents have permitted the candidates and issued buffer OMR
answer sheets.
The Online examination was conducted for the first time for Agriculture &
Medical stream at 4 centres (3 at Hyderabad and 1 at Warangal). In Osmania
University, the Chief Supdt. Dr. Shyamala of Dept. of CSE reported that due to
heavy rain last night power supply was not there in the University area.
Accordingly, the college has arranged three generators to accommodate 154
students in 6 labs. However, due to short circuit in the building because of heavy
rain and storms one lab which was meant to accommodate 36 students did not
get power supply through the generator. Therefore for these 36 students, off line
exam was conducted at the same time. Also for the first time we have collected
biometric finger prints data and photographs of all the candidates during the
examination. This will help to curb impersonation and to verify the genuinity of
the candidates at several stages like at the time of counseling, admissions, fee
reimbursement etc. A total of 534 candidates have opted for online mode of
examination in AM stream. Out of which, 444 candidates have attended the
online examination.
The percentage of attendance for Engineering is 92.34 and for Agriculture
& Medical is 88.02.
The details of number of candidates Registered, Present and Absent
Regional Centre wise is enclosed. The Question Paper for Both the tests (E & AM)
consist of 160 multiple choice questions. Utmost care was taken to prevent
malpractice cases of impersonation with candidate specific OMRs and Nominal
Rolls with photograph, Name and Date of Birth.
All the candidates thumb impressions were taken on the Filled in Online
Application Form in the Examination Hall for verification of genuiness of the
candidates and avoid impersonation.
Awareness camps have been conducted in all the Regional Centres to
apprise the Chief Superintendents, Observers, Enforcement Officers, Special
Observers for the fair and smooth conduct of examination.
A total of 11,300 Invigilators, 320 observers, 38 Special Observers for the
Regional Centres, 190 Enforcement Officers for each Agriculture & Medical Test
Centre along with Police and Revenue officials with flying squads are appointed
for the smooth conduct of examination and to prevent any malpractices.
Revenue, Treasury, Police officials, RTC, TRANSCO and Educational Institutions
cooperated for the smooth conduct of Examination.
No malpractice cases have been reported in both Engineering as well as
Agriculture & Medical streams.
No errors have been reported in the Engineering and Agriculture & Medical
question papers.
The Preliminary Key is released today (15-05-2016) and is available in the
website www.tseamcet.in. The last date to receive the objections through email
